Our History

Our pharmacy group started out with one store – Family Pharmacy of Neosho, which began operation in 1992 as R&R Medical, owned by Phillip Rozell. At that time the pharmacy consisted of three employees: a pharmacist and two technicians. In 2003 Tim Mitchell purchased Family Pharmacy from Mr. Rozell and began expanding the business. Mitchell’s Uptown Drug Store was established in 2004, Advantage Health Care (Now integrated with Mitchell’s On The Boulevard) in 2005, and Mitchell’s Downtown Drug Store in 2013. With these expansions as well as the original Family Pharmacy store, Mitchell’s Drug Stores now employees over thirty individuals including six licensed pharmacists.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be a local community pharmacy which provides its customers with the best customer service that can possibly be given. We want to be the pharmacy of your choice not because we happen to have a store in town, but rather because we strive each and every day to earn your business and respect.

Our Promise To You

Our promise to you, our valued customer, is to provide you with the quickest, most dependable service at a fair price. We are here for you.

Community Involvement

Mitchell’s Drug Stores has put our community first by turning patients into family. Our focus is on keeping our patient’s healthy, promoting healthy lifestyles, and giving our patients the best treatment options. We provide free children’s vitamins to help our younger generation keep a strong immune system and get key nutrients they may miss in their diet. When flu season rolls around, we provide free flu clinics at a number of local businesses and offer flu shots at all of our pharmacy locations. Another way we take part in the health of our community is by holding free educational meetings on Medicare. We sit down with our patients who are 65 and older to go over their medication list to find an affordable healthcare plan which would best serve their needs. We provide free home delivery to all of the surrounding communities. This is one of the great ways we give back to our community. We don’t want anyone to be without their medication because they don’t have transportation.

Mitchell’s Drug Stores doesn’t just care about the health of our community we also provide support in many other ways. We support local youth activities such as the FFA and various local sports teams to help ensure our children stay active by doing what they love. Look for us and say hey, as we are always out supporting our community with educational events and helping others with their events in various capacities.
